Goseong Pollack Festival

The Goseong Pollack Festival is a regional cultural festival centered on pollack, a historical and cultural asset of Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do, offering a fresh look at the flavors, charms, and romance of the sea of Goseong. In 2026, the festival will be held along the beach of 11-ri, Geojin-eup, featuring three distinct zones: "Discovery of Pollack," "Discovery of Residents," and "Discovery of the Sea." The festival presents programs designed to allow visitors to eat, see, and enjoy pollack, including a Pollack Gourmet Zone, a Self-Cooking Zone, and Chef Live Cooking, as well as "Pollack Memories," "Goseong Fishing Songs," "Exorcism Pollack Chainsaw Art," and a Pollack Playground. Stages will also be set up for local residents and various participating entities to collaborate on events, such as resident performances, guest singer performances, talent shows for military personnel and youth, and a Pollack Village Broadcasting Station. Additionally, visitors can enjoy experiences and performances that highlight the charm of Geojin Beach, including a Pollack Beach Bar, Sea Playground, bare-handed live fish catching, naval vessel tours, an AI Music Festival, and a Silence DJ event. A variety of programs will be operated centered around the Mural Stage, Main Stage, and Sea Stage, and participatory programs linking the festival venue with the Geojin area, such as the Baekseom Sea Bus and Stamp Tour, will also be prepared.
