In the outskirts of Seoul, there is an old and rundown multi-family housing complex. Neighbors live there, each with their own stories and shortcomings. One scorching summer day, an incident occurred in the small vegetable garden on the rooftop of the building. An elderly woman named 'Gwang-ja' was growing chili peppers, but all of them disappeared. The culprit who took all the chili peppers was none other than her neighbor, 'Hyeon-ja', who also lives in the building. The neighbors began to talk about it, and in particular, 'Hyeon-tae' in apartment 301 did not see this 'chili theft incident' as a trivial matter. He saw it as something related to the broken world. While his family and the other residents of the building were uncomfortable with his words, only one person, 'Dong-gyo' in apartment 303, began to help 'Hyeon-tae' for reasons he couldn't explain.
