The 2026 Geumjeongsan Fortress Festival, which reflects the value of Geumjeongsan, newly designated as a national park in 2026, will be held for 3 days from October 16 (Friday) to October 18 (Sunday) at the Geumjeongsan Fortress Plaza and surrounding areas. Based on Geumjeongsan Fortress, a representative cultural heritage of Geumjeong-gu, Busan, and Geumjeongsan National Park, which is the largest mountain fortress in South Korea, this festival is a historical, cultural, and artistic event held annually to commemorate the construction of Geumjeongsan Fortress. Starting with the Geumjeong Art Festival in 1996, the Geumjeongsan Fortress Festival will this year showcase the new charm of Geumjeong through various programs that combine the ecology and nature of Geumjeongsan National Park with the history and culture of Geumjeongsan Fortress.
